Founded as Brockton's first Black business advocacy organization & social impact venture in 2020, the mission of Black Owned Brockton is to curate a cohesive, collaborative space where business and social connections can be made & sustained.​ What started as an Instagram page has become a movement; an avenue for creating purposeful and long-lasting engagement between Brockton's Black business, community, and excellence

Our goal is to make it easier for you to discover local Black-owned businesses, in addition to documenting the significance of Brockton's culture. We seek to lift up and preserve bountiful stories that are often erased & overlooked we encourage you to learn more about — celebrate Black creators, and participate in an inclusive, unified community.

1. WHAT'S THE COST FOR FEATURING A BUSINESS?

Absolutely zero! Featuring businesses on Black-Owned Brockton comes at no charge. It's our way of showing appreciation for brands and businesses we admire!

2. CAN MY SPECIAL EVENT OR CAMPAIGN BE FEATURED?

We aim to keep BOB a unique and engaging online space, maintaining consistency in our content. If you believe your event or campaign stands out, do reach out to us.

3. HOW CAN I STAY UPDATED ON YOUR EVENTS?

4. I'M PLANNING AN EVENT. CAN BOB HELP WITH REFERRALS FROM LOCAL BLACK-OWNED BUSINESSES?

We're here to encourage inclusivity for Brockton's black entrepreneurs. If you're seeking referrals, consider it a consultation service and get in touch.

Introduce us to the business! We don't have strict guidelines, but we typically look for:

  • Businesses we've personally experienced and can vouch for.

  • Brands with captivating narratives, be it a rich history in Brockton, cultural importance, exceptional offerings, unique beginnings, stellar presentation, or other distinctive elements.
